This 2 1/2 story federal style red brick building is located in the heart of downtown Historic Easton. The Cherry’s store has been a locally recognized landmark through three generations. Devastated by an unexpected fire in January 2004 the family had to relocate the business and start over for the first time since being established in 1926.

The fire began at the rear of the property and was discovered during business hours. Employees & onlookers were shocked and dismayed as the fire quickly spread through the roof and engulfed the entire structure, causing significant structural damage.

A complete restoration and renovation was involved to bring this building back to its original glory. The entire structure was stabilized, and brought up to local code requirements. Several windows that had been blocked over were reinstalled. The family retail business is located on the first floor and is open for business while the second floor has been renovated to accommodate leasable office space.
