This home is located in Historic Queenstown, MD. The Owners desired an attached garage / workshop and they also wanted to improve upon their views to the water from their living space. This addition / renovation is intended to blend well with the existing conditions and provides a wonderful open kitchen, great room and deck for the Owners enjoyment.
“When we first met we provided you with our list of objectives. The first two were: “maintain the character and visual appeal from First Avenue” and “improve the visual appeal from the creek.” First Avenue is a popular walking route for many of Queenstown’s residents, and they have been uniformly complimentary of the house’s appearance and the fact that we did not change the character of the house from what it had always been from that visual aspect.
Equally impressive is the opinion of our local watermen. They like what you did to enhance our home’s visual appeal from the water.
We have asked ourselves “if we had it to do over what would we do differently?” Happily, we can’t think of anything significant, and I believe that speaks highly of the competence and talent of you and your staff.
We appreciate the responsiveness you and your staff showed as well as your flexibility in responding to our various requests for guidance and assistance. We should also compliment you on the way you worked with our builder to make sure the vision became reality.
I believe the best of the many decisions we made in the course of the remodeling was the one to make your firm our design partner.”
